My students´ experiences abroad.

Marina and Manuel says: "Our summer holiday. We had to make our suitcase to stay for almost one month in England. Then we went to a host family. I stayed with one woman and two Taiwanese students. I stayed with two Taiwanese students and then one week with two Chinese students. During the week we had to go to the college. We had three hours of lessons and other three hours of sports.We spent a lot of time talking with activity leaders, they were really funny.
On Wednesdays and on Sundays we had trips to a lot of places: Windsor, Oxford, Stonehedge, London, Reading... We saw the Tower of London, London Bridge, London Eye, Windsor Castle, Oxford Street, The change of Guards.
The food wasn´t very good at all.
We came back on the 24th of July.We really enjoyed it"

My students´ experiences abroad.

Silvia says: "Last summer I went to England. I've been in Torquay for two weeks. I visited the nearest villages and I made many friends. I went to English classes in another village near to Torquay. I went out with the Spanish friends every night. My hostfamily was very kind. I came back on the 29th of August. The travel was fantastic!"

Virginia says "This summer I went to Brighton , in the South of England . I arrived on the 26th of June . Here I met a lot of people and they are my friends now. I live with a host family and with Katy, a Russian girl. During the week we went to classes in the morning, and we did some funny exercices. In the afternoon, we did a lot of different activities, for example dancing, going to the beach... At the weekend we went to visit the nearest cities , London, Oxford , Eastburg, ... I came back on the 21st of July and we were all very sad because we made very good friends."

Pasapalabra.

The wheel is a nice project for students of all levels. My students wrote definitions for a word starting with every letter of the alphabet and then they ran a competition against other students in the same group and in different groups. A different way of doing a presentation.

This is my last project with 1º eso, (I have got a group of students who are not motivated at all). Have a look at what they did!.

Last weekend I watched a very, very, very interesting film: It's about a policeman called John Fergusson who saw a man falling from a roof. Then, he began to be fright of heights. He retired from his job because of his vertigo. One day, an old friend called John asked him a favour: he had to keep watch over his wife Madeleine because his friend believed that she was possessed by a spirit. John began to keep an eye over her, he followed Madeleine all day. Suddenly, she fell in the sea. John ran to save her. When she waked up, they began to talk and John fell in love with her.They went to visit a church. She ran up the stairs and she jumped from the roof. John couldn't believe what he had seen, she was dead.

Newspaper articles.

Look at this article, my students wrote about one of the most important events for the English Monarchy  in 2013. This is a very useful tool for reading and writing. You can find this tools in www.fodey.com 

My students´ avatars.

I have used avatars to make students introduce themselves, to describe physical appearances and for festivals like Halloween or Thanksgiving. I told my students to make an avatar using www.voki.com, they don´t need to register and it is free. A similar avatar creator is in www.sidepal.com but it is free only for 15 days after registration. My students had fun creating them and watching their partners´vokis. Here you can watch two of them.
